How can you tell if you really love two groups of people who are in mutual conflict?

Love is the most abused word in the English language; a common measurement of love is whether the lover puts the interests of the beloved above his own.

Suppose you say that you love whites, and you love the blacks that sin against whites, even though that requires you to “hate the sin, love the sinner.”

If you really love, you ought to be able to put the true interests of both groups above your own personal short-term interest of avoiding criticism.

One man who has, I believe, demonstrated tremendous love for both blacks and whites is Craig Bodeker.

Bodeker has gone to great efforts and taken great risks. He has truly sacrificed his short-term interests for the long-term good of blacks, whites, and people of all colors.
